To learn as many skills in order to push the boundaries of cancer treatments and patient education.
Why cancer? Every year millions of people die because of cancer, it’s needless to say we need to improve cancer treatments. The only way forward is to push the boundaries of cancer research and to translate its findings to the clinic. The beauty is that discoveries in cancer research will also benefit life sciences and human health as a whole.
Why patient education? In the hospital I witness how patients are missing out on vital opportunities to better their health and their healthcare. I would like to provide tools for patients to better understand their body and better communicate with healthcare providers.
